OUR EDITORIAL LENS
A useful review moves the question forward.
01
Identify the claim
What was issued or argued? Read the original work before relying on a summary of it.
02
Examine the support
Which sources, facts, assumptions, and definitions support the argument? What remains unsupported?
03
Consider the audience
Why might the argument matter to agents, brokers, CPAs, employers, or benefits professionals?
04
Ask the next question
Identify unresolved questions, practical discussion points, and limitations instead of turning an interpretation into a certainty.
CLEARLY LABELED EDITORIAL FORMATS
Know which voice you are reading.

CREDIT WITHOUT IMPLIED AFFILIATION
A review is not a partnership.
Reviewing an article does not imply a partnership with, or endorsement by, its author or publisher. References to The CPA Journal and other publications are source credit, not affiliation claims. An outside article is not official IRS guidance.
Bring an original contribution.
Prepare a clear summary, original draft, sources, authorship and publication permission, and relevant commercial relationships. SIMERPU’s editorial consideration is separate from another publisher’s submission process. Intake is being prepared and is not open yet.
