No Risk at All
SIMERPU recap and commentary: Mardy Gould
Opened — main text retrieved
Quick recap
Critiques health-screening indemnity policies marketed to convert wages into non-taxable benefits. Discusses employer, employee and broker exposure.
SIMERPU’s viewpoint
The article brings brokers into a discussion often presented only as an employer decision. SIMERPU would make the broker’s role in explaining the design, coordinating review and supporting implementation visible. Claims of an arrangement having no risk deserve a precise description of the responsibilities that remain.
What this source contributes
The article includes broker responsibilities in its discussion of health-screening indemnity policies.
What remains unanswered
The exact promises, contractual roles and policy terms of a particular sale remain to be examined.
Mardy Gould’s take
When a presentation says there is no risk, I want to hear what responsibilities still belong to the employer, employee and broker. Every participant should understand the role they are accepting. A broker can add real value by coordinating clear answers and making sure the explanation survives beyond the sales meeting.
Questions I would bring to the conversation
1. What does the no-risk claim actually cover?
2. Which responsibilities remain with the employer or broker?
3. What policy and contract language supports the assurances?

What would change our assessment?
Specific contractual terms and documented payment facts would make broad assurances more assessable.
