SIMERP — Turn Payroll Tax Into Employee Healthcare
SIMERPU recap and commentary: Mardy Gould
Opened — main text retrieved
Quick recap
Markets a service-based medical-care membership funded through payroll elections. Claims net FICA savings and higher take-home pay, with documentation and actuarial valuation distinguishing it from cash-for-activity plans.
SIMERPU’s viewpoint
The service-based membership proposition brings together access to medical care, payroll elections and a valuation argument. SIMERPU would examine the employee benefit experience and the basis for the payment amount as connected but distinct questions. The claimed service-based difference should be understandable in the actual documents.
What this source contributes
The service-based membership description identifies care access and valuation as central to the vendor’s proposition.
What remains unanswered
The valuation, employee obligation and payment amount must be connected in the actual implementation.
Mardy Gould’s take
I am interested in how the membership improves access to care, and I want that experience explained clearly. I would also ask the provider to connect its valuation to the employee’s obligation and payroll payment. Those two explanations together would give an employer a much stronger basis for evaluating the offer.
Questions I would bring to the conversation
1. What care does the membership actually provide?
2. What does the valuation measure for the employee?
3. How does that value connect to the expense and reimbursement?

What would change our assessment?
A documented care and payment pathway, including the valuation’s scope and limitations, would strengthen the claimed service-based distinction.
