SIMERPU recap and commentary: Mardy Gould

Quick recap
FAQ describes pre-tax deductions, medical reimbursements and telehealth benefits. Presents payroll illustrations and claims FICA, FUTA and workers’ compensation savings; claimed approval is the vendor’s assertion.
SIMERPU’s viewpoint
The FAQ combines a service explanation with several claimed savings categories. SIMERPU would examine FICA, FUTA and workers’ compensation assumptions separately and identify the support for any approval claim. That allows the employer to understand which parts of the offer apply to its actual workforce and circumstances.
What this source contributes
The FAQ identifies several distinct savings categories and supplies examples that can be tested.
What remains unanswered
FICA, FUTA and workers’ compensation require separate assumptions, and any approval claim needs its actual source and scope.
Mardy Gould’s take
I would ask for three separate calculations and the document behind any approval statement. Each claimed saving should have an identifiable basis for this employer. That gives the employer a clearer view of the opportunity and prevents one appealing number from standing in for several different financial and administrative questions.
Questions I would bring to the conversation
1. What supports each tax or workers’ compensation saving?
2. What exactly was approved, by whom and for which facts?
3. Does the illustration include all fees and employee conditions?
